18 International Eyes & Ears Awards – Report
Cologne, 28 October 2016 – Last night, the 18th International Eyes & Ears Awards ceremony took place during MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN. Around 600 media professionals visited the event to see and celebrate the best productions in the areas ‘Design’, ‘Digital’, ‘Promotion’ and ‘Cross-Media-Campaigns’. The 18th International Eyes & Ears Awards were presented by Wolfram Kons and Corinna Kamphausen, CEO Eyes & Ears of Europe.
One of the highlights was the Eyes & Ears Excellence Award 2016, honouring Dale Herigstad. “Dale Herigstad is a thought leader in our industry. His ideas for the future of television have been spread from Hollywood around the world, and he has inspired a lot of new talent in Broadcast Design.” said Prof. Dr. Martin Zimper, Member of the Board of Eyes & Ears of Europe, in his speech.

This year, two special prizes for particularly creative and effective work were awarded to RTL’s ‘Welcome Home’ umbrella campaign and to the 13th Street image spot ‘Koffer packen’. In addition, the special prize for Best Use of Music was awarded to The Screeners: ’24 WOCHEN Cinema Trailer’. This prize is donated by Universal Publishing Production Music.
