EM Ireland/RED C Poll 2018: Support for Ireland’s EU membership at “All-Time High”.

EM Ireland carries out an annual survey of Irish attitudes towards the EU. The poll is administered by Red C among a representative sample of 1,000 adults aged 18+ from across the country.

The latest poll commissioned by European Movement Ireland shows the number of those who believe that Ireland should leave the EU is in a steady decline since the Brexit decision. Just 11% of people now believe that Ireland should follow the UK example. This shows a dramatic decline from 2013, when support for Ireland leaving the EU was at 30%. Commenting on the outcome of the survey, Noelle O Connell, Executive Director of EM Ireland stated that “support for Ireland’s membership of the EU remains strong; in fact it is at an all-time high since we first undertook this poll in 2013.”
