How Can We Get European Democracy Right?
The European Movement International and Carnegie Europe will hold their first event of the year on Wednesday, 22 January 2020 at the European Parliament. The new EU leadership’s promise of a “new push for European democracy” may open opportunities for democratic innovation and experimentation. This event will mark the launch of “Six Ideas for Rejuvenating European Democracy,” a new paper that proposes constructive, practical ideas for how we – European leaders, EU institutions, and civil society – can get European democracy right. The event will feature an exchange of views between Eva Maydell MEP and Dubravka Šuica, moderated by Richard Youngs.
