Informal meeting of transport ministers (Maritime)
Held on the second day of the Maritime Conference organized by the Croatian Presidency. The participants will exclusively be the competent EU Ministers and experts accompanying them, representatives of the competent EC administrations, the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU and other heads of European institutions and Ministers of non-EU states that have access to the Adriatic Sea. A declaration will be signed containing the main priorities of the Republic of Croatia in the field of maritime affairs during HR PRES: protection of the marine environment with emphasis on supporting the fight against GHG reduction from ships and further digitization in maritime and inland navigation.

10th meeting of the EU-Serbia Civil Society Joint Consultative Committee
The meeting will be held by The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and Serbia in Brussels. It is a platform established within the institutional framework of the EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) in order to allow civil society organisations on both sides to monitor the country’s accession negotiations. Besides the current state of play in EU-Serbia relations and the accession process, main topics of the 10th JCC meeting will be: Effects of economic and industrial reforms on the quality of life of citizens, Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, civil society point of view and the overview of the civil society situation in Serbia.

EU Youth Conference
The topic of the conference is Opportunities for Rural Youth – How to Ensure the Sustainability of Rural Communities Across the EU. The conference will address current demographic challenges with a focus on young people in rural and remote areas and how to provide them with a level playing field for quality living. The results of research VII will be included in the draft Planned Resolution and presented at the Youth Council of the EU Council. The Croatian Presidency will address the challenges facing young people and the additional empowerment of young people in order to be actively involved in community life and contribute to social change. The issue of climate change impacts on the environment will also be highlighted. Participants will be young people and EU youth representatives. , representatives of international organizations, scientists and other representatives of state bodies and institutions.

High Level Ministerial Maritime Conference
The first day of the Maritime Conference is intended for a wider range of stakeholders, that is, the European Ministers responsible for Maritime Affairs and Shipping, representatives of European associations of shipping companies, maritime professions, mediators in the employment of seafarers, shipyards and other representatives of the Croatian, European and world maritime industry. In addition, the meeting will be attended by ministers of countries that have access to the Adriatic Sea, but are not EU Member States, leaders of the International Maritime Organization and European Union, maritime safety agencies as well as representatives of European Commission administrations and the Council of the EU. On the second day of the Maritime Conference, an Informal Council of Ministers will be held.
Wednesday 11 March – Thursday 12 March
Meeting of the Directors General for Youth
The meeting will be held on March 11-12, 2020 in Zagreb at the level of senior government officials, and the topic of the meeting will be related to the topics of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027. The meeting of the leaders will discuss the importance of raising awareness and awareness of the youth sector and strengthening resources, as well as the challenges and tools for working with young people. The meeting will also include political discussion on youth in rural areas and relevant policies undertaken. Further discussions will be conducted on the topic of inclusive society and the availability of education, transitions from the education system to the labor market, quality in the labor market – the issue of gender equality and vulnerable groups, non-formal education and the possibility of reconciling private and business life.
