ALDE: Liberals deliver in the first 100 days of Commission
100 days have passed since the new European Commission, led by President Ursula von der Leyen, took office on 1 December 2019. Since then, European Commissioners working on a range of topics have unveiled their initiatives, strategies and action plans to deliver a strong, renewed European Union.
ALDE’s liberal Commissioners have been playing a key role in the development of the Commission’s six main priorities – ranging from Artificial Intelligence to media freedom – established at the beginning of this mandate. Many of these priorities were also included in the 2019 ALDE Party manifesto; a document that outlines the liberal vision for the European Union, adopted ahead of the 2019 electoral campaign.
