On the agenda: Exchange of views on human rights impacts and policy responses in places of detention in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic with the participation of different stakeholders.

Committee on Transport and Tourism
On the agenda: Exchange of views with Vice-President Frans Timmermans on the future of the transport sector in the framework of the Green Deal, and presentation of recent proposals by the European Commission regarding COVID-19 relief measures related to transport.

Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs
On the agenda: Discussion on Internal border controls within the Schengen area, Exchange of views with Terezija Gras, State Secretary for European and International Affairs, Ministry of the Interior, Croatian Presidency, and Monique Pariat, Director-General, DG HOME, European Commission. There will also be a Discussion on Community statistics on migration and international protection.

Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety
On the agenda: Exchange of views with Mr Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries – Presentation of the Circular Economy Action Plan and on the Biodiversity Strategy for 2030. There will be also an exchange of views with Guido Rasi, Executive Director of European Medicines Agency (EMA), on EMA activities on COVID-19 and prospects for the future.

Wednesday 13 May

Plenary session
The EP will vote on several issues, including the MFF contingency plan and a report on macro-financial assistance to enlargement and neighbourhood partners in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. MEPs will also hold debates on the new MFF, own resources and Recovery plan, the conclusions of the extraordinary European Council meeting of 23 April 2020 and Emergency Legislation in Hungary and its impact on the Rule of Law and fundamental rights.

Thursday 14 May

Plenary session
The EP will vote on discharge resolutions and amendments to discharge resolutions. There will be a debate on vaccines and therapeutics in the context of Covid-19.

Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection

Friday 15 May

Plenary session
The EP will vote on urgent procedures files, the second batch of amendments to JMR – New MFF, own resources and Recovery plan and possibly a final vote on JMR – New MFF, own resources and Recovery plan.

Foreign Affairs Council
Defence ministers will hold a video conference on the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on security and defence. They will also discuss Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions and operations.

Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council
Ministers of health will participate in a video conference to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on access and availability to medicines.

Wednesday 13 May

Agriculture and Fisheries Council
Agriculture and fisheries ministers will join a video conference hosted by the Croatian Presidency to assess COVID-19-related measures taken so far to limit the negative impact of the pandemic on the sectors.

LGBTI survey
FRA will publish findings from its second LGBTI survey. It was the world’s biggest-ever EU-wide survey of LGBTI people’s discrimination and hate experiences. Around 140,000 LGBTI people shared their stories. The survey will contribute to discussions on future responses to address the needs and rights of LGBTI people.

This webinar is a third part of the series of webinars aiming to help participants to better understand and overcome barriers to investing in nature, and thereby facilitate investment in natural capital and biodiversity-related projects and innovations. It is in particular targeted at project developers (public and private businesses, cities or municipalities) but will also benefit non-governmental organisations, consultancy companies and individuals seeking to increase their practical knowledge in the field. It will provide guidance on: Preparing historical financial statements, Setting up a simple forecast to analyse cash flows, Identifying key challenges and risks and how to mitigate them.
