Monday 8 June

Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO)
Exchange of views on the Conference on the Future of Europe and the role of the European Parliament. There will be also exchange of views with Nikolina Brnjac, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, on the outcome of the Croatian Council presidency.

Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI)
A chemicals strategy for sustainability; Exchange of views with the Commission and Mr Bjorn Hansen, Executive Director of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN)
Exchange of views with Henrik Hololei, Director-General for Mobility and Transport, European Commission, on transport aspects of the EU Recovery Plan and revised MFF.

Thursday 11 June

Committee on Fisheries (PECH)
On the agenda: EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030; The Marine Strategy Framework Directive.

Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT)
On the agenda: Public Hearing on Implementation of EU funds: towards more effective management and control systems under shared management.

Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE)
On the agenda: Anti-discrimination policy in times of COVID-19, in particular on the situation of LGBTI.

On the agenda: The Farm to Fork Strategy: What place for fisheries and aquaculture?

Friday 12 June

Committee on International Trade (INTA)
On the agenda: Recommendations on the negotiations for a new partnership with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Council of Ministers


Monday 8 June

Agriculture and Fisheries Council
The Croatian presidency will host a video conference of EU agriculture ministers to discuss the Farm to fork and Biodiversity strategies recently proposed by the Commission as part of the European Green Deal.

Foreign Affairs Council (Development)
EU development ministers will convene in a video conference to discuss the progress made in the implementation of the Team Europe package. They will also review the state of play of negotiations for a new EU-ACP partnership after 2020.

Tuesday 9 June

Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council
Ministers responsible for employment and social affairs will hold a video conference to address the EU recovery. Ministers will discuss the use of flexible working arrangements during the COVID-19 pandemic, their plans regarding upskilling/reskilling and the protection and promotion of gender equality, especially in relation to vulnerable groups affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

Foreign Affairs Council (Trade)
Trade minister will review WTO issues, as well as implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for trade policy via a video conference. They will also address the negative impact the pandemic has had on global trade and the role of global supply chains in the recovery.

Commissioner Didier Reynders will address a high-level online event on human rights and environmental due diligence, organised by the Group of Greens/European Free Alliance (Greens/EFA) of the European Parliament.

552nd Plenary Session
EESC will hold its plenary session. On the agenda: debate with with Michel Barnier, head of the task force responsible for finalising negotiations under Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union, for preparatory work related to the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union; debate Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reform.

Thursday 11 June
FRA will launch its Fundamental Rights Report 2020 on the developments and shortfalls of human rights protection in the EU over the past year.
