Committee on International Trade (INTA)
Vote: Exercise of the Union’s rights for the application and enforcement of international trade rules. Exchange of views with Sigrid Kaag, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, and Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, French Minister of State attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, on the French-Dutch non-paper on sustainable trade.

Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI)
Vote: Sustainable Europe Investment Plan – How to finance the Green Deal. Exchange of views with the Commission representatives (DG AGRI, DG COMP and DG TRADE) on the situation in the EU beef, veal and poultry sectors.

Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE)

Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI)
Exchange of views on emergency response measures taken in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and respect for human rights in the presence of experts.

Wednesday 8 – Friday 10 July

Plenary Session
The European Parliament will debate and vote on a number of issues, including on the comprehensive European approach to energy storage; the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities in the COVID-19 crisis;  the humanitarian situation in Venezuela and migration and refugee crisis and the EU’s public health strategy post-COVID-19.

Moreover, Parliament will be briefed by the Council and Commission about the programme of activities of the German Presidency and about the EU’s public health strategy post-COVID-19.

Monday 6 July

Justice and Home Affairs Council
Justice ministers will address the following challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic: strengthening democracy in the age of COVID-19 – countering disinformation and hate speech; managing the coronavirus pandemic in liberal democracies governed by the rule of law.

Tuesday 7 July

Justice and Home Affairs Council
The ministers will discuss the topics “European police partnership (euPP)” and “Search and Rescue at Sea”.

Thursday 9 July

Eurogroup
Election of the President of the Eurogroup; presentation of the Commission’s summer interim forecast; budgetary situation and fiscal stance in the euro area.

European Union Military Committee (EUMC)
Exchange of views: the EU’s Military Operations and Training Missions; the state of play of EU-NATO cooperation, including the lessons already identified from the COVID-19 crisis; update on migration flows and will provide their views on security related matters. 

Friday 10 July

Economic and Financial Affairs Council
Exchange of views: presentation of the Presidency Work Programme; update on the economic impact of COVID-19 and recovery measures; convergence reports from the Commission and the European Central Bank. Presentation and exchange of views: Capital Markets Union: Final report of the High-Level Forum.
