Talking Europe with Sabine Weyand
The fourth edition of Talking Europe, organised in partnership with the European Commission, will featuring Sabine Weyand, Director General of DG Trade. Our guest  will discuss with us the EU’s trade relationships and trade agreements, as well as the geopolitical challenges coming from China and the US and how they affect trade.

Council of Ministers

Monday 20 July

Agriculture and Fisheries Council
EU agriculture and fisheries ministers will hold their first Council meeting under the German presidency. They will exchange views on the reform of the common agricultural policy (CAP) and discuss the Farm to Fork Strategy.

Tuesday 21 July – Wednesday 22 July

Competitiveness Council (research ministers)
EU ministers responsible for research and innovation will use this informal meeting to address the contribution those topics can make to social, economic and ecological transformation. The meeting’s agenda also includes a policy debate on current portfolios of European research and innovation policy. The Presidency trio of Germany, Portugal and Slovenia will use this first meeting of research ministers under German chairmanship to present a joint road map on research and education policy.
