EM Georgia – Sad and sudden passing of Vasili Tchkoidze, President of Centre for European Integrations Studies (CEIS)
It is with deep sadness that the European Movement in Georgia has to inform the network of the sudden passing of Vasili Tchkoidze, President of Centre for European Integrations Studies (CEIS) – European Movement Georgia.
Vasili was hospitalized with symptoms of hart attack, however doctors’ efforts couldn’t help him to quit from the developed difficulty.
Our deepest condolence goes to Vasili’s Family. This is the vast loss for them as he has left his father -Elgudja, recovering from series of strokes during last year, and a sister-Lela living on Vasili’s benefaction.
CEIS is providing support to Vasili’s family in every possible way we can. We have been working continuously to provide every possible level of care to Elgudja and Lela during this tragic time.
This is irrecoverable loss for the organization, for his parliamentary colleagues; for numerous students in his university carrier; for his friends and political partners since Georgia’s independence and national movement where Vasili was involved in early 1980s and 1990s.
Everyone can share thoughts and sympathy by replying to this mail (
chavz111@yahoo.com). The Messages will be compiled into a book of memories for the family and friends.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Vasili’s family.
