The Secretary General of the European Movement International (EMI), Mr Diogo Pinto, visited Bulgaria from 4 to 6 May 2010.
 
He delivered a public lecture about the European Citizens’ Initiative in the framework of the international seminar "Improving the European Communication" and discussed the European communication policy of the Bulgarian government and the cooperation with EM Bulgaria at a meeting with Mr Svetoslav Spassov, Adviser to the Prime Minister.
 
Mr Pinto also participated in the "European Projects" broadcast of the Bulgarian National Radio and spoke about the activities of the EMI in the framework of the Europe Day project celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.
 
Finally, the Secretary General had a meeting with the Board of EM Bulgaria where the situation in Bulgaria and the regional cooperation in the Balkans were discussed.
