Finally! On March 10, the President of the EU Parliament, David Sassoli, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Portugal’s Prime Minister Antonio Costa signed the “Joint Declaration” on the Conference on the Future of Europe. This is the starting shot for the next EU reform. The future conference is to submit proposals for this by the first half of 2022 – with the involvement of the citizens.

EBÖ President Christoph Leitl informed the Austrian Press Agency (APA) about the concerns of the European Movement Austria (EBÖ) about the EU Future Conference. He advocates “more time for dialogue on the future of Europe. In short, we are still in the middle of the pandemic.”
