The next EMI Federal Assembly will be taking place in Brussels on the 12th and 13th of December 2008.
On this occasion, a new President will be elected as well as a new Treasurer, 6 Vice-Presidents (3 from among the National Councils and 3 from among the International Member Associations), and 12 Board members.
It will be the first time that the Vice Presidents and Board members are elected directly by the Federal Assembly.
As decided by the last Federal Council, a new voting system will also be used: the Single Transferable Vote. This is a popular system used in Ireland and JEF for example.

The deadlines for sending in candidatures are the following:
-13 November: for the positions of President and Treasurer
-6 December: for the positions of Vice-President and Board members.
