Some 60 participants took part in the successful roundtables that were organised as part of ELEC’s Central Council in Paris. The first one was devoted to the economic situation in the EU and the euro area. In the second roundtable on the new financial regulation in Europe, former IMF director general de Larosière, proved why indeed he earned the reputation of a “wise man”. In both roundtables, it came to an animated debate between speakers and participants. A report (in French) can be found on the ELEC website.
