The European Carnival Union or Närrische Europäische Gemeinschaft (NEB) is the umbrella organization of the national associations based in Europe that maintain the carnival tradition. It respects the sovereignty of the associations belonging to it and promotes cross-border contacts between the carnivalists of Europe.
