EM Denmark will be hosting a number of events on Monday May 9th to celebrate Europe Day.

• Vi fejrer Europadagen (We are celebrating Europe Day)
  9th May from 08:00-18:00
  Two venues:
  Venue 1 – Nørreport station (from 08:00-10:00)
  Venue 2 – Rådhuspladsen (from 15:00-18:00). Both in Copenhagen, Denmark

  Meet us on streets and alleyways for a talk about the EU. There will be opportunity to discuss common European values and how we tackle common European challenges. We will be serving coffee by Nørreport station in the morning and cake by Rådhuspladsen (Town hall square) in the afternoon. Also in the afternoon the European Commission representation and European Parliament information office will join us.

• Europe Day

  Gammeltorv, Aalborg, Denmark.

  Join us on Gammeltorv to celebrate Europe Day – the day when peace and democracy bestowed upon Europe, creating the society we live in. Speech by Orla Hav – MP

• Europadagen – Filmforevisning (Europe Day – Film screening)
  9th May from 16:00-18:00
  Rønne Bio – Nørregade 2, Rønne, Bornholm, Denmark.

  EM Bornholm in cooperation with Europe Direct Bornholm invite you to a movie screening, to celebrate Europe Day. The movie is Tordenskjold og Kold. We will combine culture and a discuss Europe Day and common values.

• EU og Rusland (EU and Russia)
  9th May from 16:00-18:00
  DIIS – Gl. Kalkbrænderi Vej 51A, Copenhagen, Denmark

  DIIS (Danish Institute for International Studies) in cooperation with EM Copenhagen/Frederiksberg invites you to a seminar on EU and Russia. The 9th of May is the anniversary of Europe Day (Schuman-declaration) but also Victory Day (the day Russia won the 2nd World War).

  Debate: Europe in the border region. The Danish-German cross-border cooperation will be discussed the Chairman of EM South Jutland, the Major of Aabenraa and many more

  Speeches by Peter Duetoft – City Councilman in Hjørring and former MP and MEP – and Jens-Kristian Lütken – Member of Copenhagen City Council and member of the executive committee in EM Denmark.

• Fejring af Europadagen med oplæg fra Stine Bosse i byens hus (Celebration of Europe Day with a presentation by Stine Bosse at byens hus)

  Come and meet EM Denmarks Chairman Stine Bosse talk about why we need the European community.

• EU uden Storbritannien? (EU without the United Kingdom?)

  Come and hear about the British referendum and EU’s future. It will be a public debate with representatives from the political youth organisations.

• EU street party vol. 2
  9^th of May from 19:00-23:00
  Rendsburggade 2, Aalborg, Denmark.

  Come and party with us on the 9^th of May. There will be stage performances by local musicians, comedians and others.
