The one-day conference Investing in the Western Balkans’ European Future  was held on December 8^th 2017 in Belgrade (Aeroclub, 4 Uzun Mirkova St.). The conference was organised by the European Movement in Serbia and the European Movement International with support from the European Investment Bank.

The purpose of the conference was to provide regional stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about the role, direct benefit and transformative power of the European Investment Bank in European integration process. This full-day conference was articulated around three panel discussions, covering issues such as policy reforms, connectivity and sustainable development. It was an opportunity to meet with senior stakeholders from policy-makers, businesses and civil society.

The European Investment Bank has strong presence within Western Balkans with the main goal to support market economy establishment and competitiveness of the Western Balkan region, infrastructure development and Western Balkans connectivity with EU vital transport and energy networks and support progress towards EU integration.
