Integration, intercultural dialogue and peaceful coexistence: addressing challenges and opportunities in the social services, education and training sector

SOLIDAR and SOLIDAR Foundation are organising the 2016 edition of the SOLIDAR Training Academy at the ILO center in Turin, Italy from 6-8 July. The theme proposed for this year’s edition is Integration, intercultural dialogue and peaceful coexistence: addressing challenges and opportunities in the social services, education and training sector.

This event is open to staff members of our member organisations and their local branches working in the sectors of social services and education and training. In particular, this year we would like to invite:

• young staff members
• volunteers
• social workers
• activists

Participation is reserved to one person per organisation (SOLIDAR and SOLIDAR Foundation members & partners). The training academy is free of charges and the travel and subsistence will be covered by SOLIDAR and SOLIDAR Foundation (reimbursement of travel costs after the event, following the standard reimbursement procedures).

In order to better meet the expectations and needs of the participants we have developed a survey. This survey intends to measure the learning expectations and needs of participants, and will serve as basis for the detailed planning of the sessions and methodologies used during the training academy. The survey is to be completed by Friday 20th May 2016.
