Talking Europe with Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director General of DG Energy

On Tuesday16 March from 10:45 to 11:30 CET, we held the sixth edition of Talking Europe organised in partnership with the European Commission. This series of online events launched in 2020 aims to discuss the EU’s work and how it affects all Europeans.

As the global community continues to grapple with COVID-19 and after months of work and proven solidarity, we will soon see the newly adopted European recovery package countering the unprecedented impacts of the global COVID 19 pandemic begin to bear fruit. Our guest Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director General of DG Energy, discussed the place of the energy sector in the Recovery Plan, the chosen priorities and the best possible engagement with the stakeholders. This was an opportunity to highlight the exceptional measures implemented to ensure that the proposed recovery and the reconstruction package will support the European Green Deal.

Featuring Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director General of DG Energy, European Commission
Moderated by Petros Fassoulas, Secretary General, European Movement International
