AEGEE launches “Why European Parliament”
AEGEE-Europe has launched a new campaign: “Why European Parliament”, which aims to inform young people about the European Parliament as an institution, including its functioning and competences, and the role it plays in the daily lives of young people. The project hopes to empower young people to take an active interest in the Parliament, and to participate in a campaign to create long-term impacts for themselves and societies.
The campaign relies on local and regional initiatives such as peer-learning, non-formal education and audio-visual production. It will consist of activities such as a Conference on Youth Participation in European Democracy, a Youth Participation Day, and a social media campaign. 100,000 young people are expected to be reached via the project within the next 5 months.
The project is co-funded by the European Parliament, and ends on August 31.
