On Thursday, 12 July, the UK government published a 98-page White Paper outlining its proposals for the future relationship between the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU) post-Brexit.

The White Paper covers areas such as the future EU-UK economic relationship, a future security partnership and the governance of future EU-UK arrangements. This Paper aims to establish the framework for the post-Brexit arrangement, upon which a legally binding Withdrawal Agreement will be agreed.

The European Movement Ireland has published a guide to the White Paper which examines the proposed approach to the EU Single Market, and the proposed customs model.
