Shaping Europe Together:

The Fourth German-Belgian Conference will take place on 17 February at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. In the presence of His Majesty the King of the Belgians and the Foreign Ministers of both countries, high-ranking experts from business, civil society and politics will be discussing perspectives for a more transparent, efficient and democratic Europe. Because we believe that the voice of young Belgian and German journalists is invaluable to the discussion, European Movement Germany is issuing a call for applications from young Belgian and German journalists and bloggers who are interested in taking part in the debate on the future of Europe. Here is what is in it for you:

• You will have the opportunity to attend the conference in Berlin and to report on the discussions via Twitter, on your blog or through any other of your preferred media outlets
• You will also be able to spend a day in Brussels discussing your views on European integration and democracy with representatives of the German Embassy in Brussels and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium
• Up to 120 € in travel expenses to Berlin and Brussels will be covered

• Name, place of residence and age
• A short statement explaining your background: What is your profession, where do you publish?
