CEC European Managers participates in a new EU project, led by CESI, aiming at underlining the overall societal importance of public services and public sector’s personnel in the context of the European Pillar of Social Rights and the new social agenda of the European Commission.

The contemporary challenges the EU is facing, including digitalisation and sustainable development, require excellence in public service provision and qualified managers and workers to deliver on the needs of citizens. The European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR), introduced in 2017, makes the discussion around an effective implementation of these rights, also through public services, a priority.

The project will include sectoral working groups, a study featuring some key data on the public sector in the early 2020s, an EU symposium and an EU-level campaign on the value of efficient public services and public sector employees, stressing the social return on investment that they generate.
