The Opening Ceremony of the seventieth academic year of the College of Europe, Bruges campus, took place at the Concert Hall (‘t Zand, Bruges), on Wednesday, 13 November 2019, in the presence of Mr Donald Tusk, President of the European Council.

Rector Jörg Monar recalled Hannah Arendt, Patron of the Promotion 2019-2020.

Mr Herman Van Rompuy, President of the Administrative Council of the College of Europe, presided over the ceremony.
