With the new year came new challenges for European politics.

2018 will be about directing Jean-Claude Juncker’s impetus for the European future into well-structured debates. European issues need to be communicated properly and European policies realigned and implemented.

In order to prepare the European Movement Germany for these new challenges, we started our internal consultation process for our Political Demands 2018/2019. We asked our 241 member organizations to discuss the policies of EM Germany and prioritize what they deem important when it comes to European politics. We conducted an online survey with the member organizations, which is currently being evaluated. In addition, we invited experts out of the member organizations to join EBD Exclusive events throughout March to discuss and calibrate the content of the Political Demands.

The policies of the European Movement will be adopted after EM Germany’s general assembly on July 2^nd, 2018. As per usual, they are based on the goals of the organization according to the statute and the objective agreement with the German Federal Foreign Office.
