Beyond this period of crisis, and regardless of how we come out of it, we must be aware of this: our world will have changed profoundly, nothing will be the same as before!

We will have discovered or rediscovered that we are fragile societies. We will have discovered or rediscovered that, as human beings, we are exposed to pandemics that were thought to be under control or over. We will have discovered or rediscovered that our dependence on other areas of production in the world is a cause for concern as soon as something goes wrong in the great machinery of world trade.

And we will thus find issues that we have brought up in the national debate on our independence. Producing in France”, “producing in Europe”, the vital European sovereignty, in terms of health, economics and politics, all of this will appear to be a widely shared subject.
