EM Croatia: 30th Anniversary of the Work of the European Movement Croatia
The European Movement Croatia was founded on June 23rd, 1990 and today celebrates the 30th anniversary of the work we do. It is therefore a unique opportunity to look back at the achievements behind us. When founded, the European Movement of Croatia was the first organization with a European vocation in Croatia and the second national branch of the European Movement in Central and Eastern Europe.
The European Movement of Croatia is a non-profit and non-partisan institution. However, this status does not preclude cooperation with government institutions on various projects and events aimed at promoting European economic, cultural, and political standards in Croatia. We inform and promote the European idea, value system, and civilization standards of a united Europe and we are a leading non-governmental organization in the field of promoting European integration, but also non-formal education, international relations, and culture.
Through our umbrella associations – the European Movement International and the European Network for Education and Training (EUNET), we have successfully and professionally presented the Republic of Croatia to Europe, including Croatia’s contribution to creating a common European history and identity and ultimately we contribute to Croatia’s accession to the European Union.
