EM France: The future of Europe under debate: for citizen participation up to the challenges
Officially launched on May 9 in Strasbourg, the “Conference on the Future of Europe” is a major democratic event to be honored as it should. French citizens, therefore Europeans, we owe it to ourselves to participate!
Further amplified by the current pandemic, the economic, social, environmental, as well as migratory, political, diplomatic and security challenges have multiplied and can only be met by relying, beyond the governing bodies, on the aspirations and support of citizens of the European Union.
After years marked by managing successive crises, it is urgent to take stock of the successes, failures and limitations of European integration, and define the type of organization that we want for ourselves and the next generations of the Union.
In this context, we call on you to make your voice heard and to say what, for you, should or should not be the future of Europe, whether you are young or old, French and European, from metropolitan to overseas territories, urban and rural areas … We call on you to share your expectations, your doubts, your proposals, to jointly build our common future by 2025-2030.
