From trialogue to fake news – what’s on the agenda of the European Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly and how she assesses her impact was topical at Tuesday’s debate of EM Germany and the Information Office of the European Parliament in Germany. O’Reilly announced that she would push for more transparency as to when, where and with whom trialogues take place, and that the EU institutions are asked to establish a joint database for trialogue documentation. Both demands are on EM Germany’s political agenda since 2015.
