EM Norway: European Movement Norway welcomes new president

On Saturday 28 October, the European Movement Norway held their biannual Congress, in which they elected a new president, Heidi Nordby Lunde. With a background in marketing, sales, and PR as well as media and groundbreaking citizen journalism, Ms Lunde has been a Member of Parliament since 2013 representing the Norwegian Conservative Party. She serves as the second vice chair of the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Affairs, and vice chair of the Parliamentary Delegation to EFTA and EE. Along with her focus on trade and regulations in the financial sector, Ms Lunde is an outspoken feminist, dealing with issues such as gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and LGBTIQ rights.

Ms Lunde takes over the presidency from Jan Erik Grindheim, who has served for the past four years, and worked hard to increase European awareness and put the EU on the agenda.
