So reads the opening line of an op-ed to EU leaders signed by some of Europe’s most prominent creators.

Signatories include the likes of Björk, Jean Michel Jarre, Agnieszka Holland, Daniel Buren, Marina Abramovich, Nina George, MØ, Benny Andersson, Anne-Teresa Keersmaeker, Dardenne Brothers, Ibeyi, and many more.

This op-ed follows on from the unprecedentedly unified call from organizations across the cultural sector to revise the European Commission’s disappointing budget proposals for the creative sector.
