The Young European Federalists (JEF) argue it’s time for European cities to care about sustainability: We have a clear vision of sustainable Europe and we are ready to fight for it as youth.

JEF Europe is part of the LADDER Project initiated by ALDA (European Association for Local Democracy). JEF Europe is the coordinator of the path dealing with Youth and its activity in Sustainable Development Goals and DEAR (Development education and Awareness Raising). Therefore, we feel the need to act upon the spread and stronger voice of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact.

The sole purpose of our campaign is to call the European cities to implement the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP). We would like to ask you is to Join this Thunderclap (using your Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr). If you join, the same message will go out on the same day, at the same among thousands of people!

JEF Europe deeply cares about the MUFPP, which represents better collaboration to shape resilient, sustainable local food supply chains and good food cultures, living within environmental limits. The whole political spectrum is very much aware of how much we need the change now!

The MUFPP has been already signed by 128 cities. However, there is still a long way to go!

From the countries of Council of Europe there are still some, which did not show the wish to sign the MUFPP at all.

With this campaign we would like to highlight the necessity of these countries to start to act towards sustainability! Although the pact is voluntary, it gives any city’s mayor the mandate to to seriously start work on sustainability issues.
