Bridging EU decision making, Participative democracy and civil dialogue

On Our Watch website launches today!

At the midway point of the European Parliament’s current mandate, European Civil Society Organisations have gathered to reflect on what the Parliament has achieved in the past two-and-a-half years. What work has been done since the 2014 elections? What progress has been made relative to politicians’ promises and citizens’ demands?

www.OnOurWatch.eu offers a platform for organisations to assess the Parliament’s work on a number of issues – to inform citizens, generate debate, and most importantly: to look ahead at what work there is left to do before the 2019 elections.

This project, first presented as a project idea at the Citizens for Europe Brussels Project Fair, has been taken forward by the European Movement International, IHECS School of Journalism and Communication and the European Youth Forum. Designed in an open and collaborative way, the project already has several contributing partners.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding more content, through blogs and analysis of parliamentary activity – all designed to bring a civil society perspective and to highlight what is happening on our watch!

We encourage you to do the same, by getting in touch at info@onourwatch.eu if you would like to be part of the project.

Find out more by taking a look at the new website!
