Training Academy « Delors promotion » in Strasbourg !
From 9 to 15 September, the EMI Training Academy held its first session ever in Strasbourg. The dates coincided with the European Parliament plenary session.
During the week, the students had the opportunity to visit and meet members of the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Ombudsman. They were also invited to meet the Deputy-Mayor of Strasbourg who kindly offered the group a free boat ride through the city.
In addition to some personal insight about lobbying in the EU, the students got some useful tips about how to present their CVs from two professional lobbyists. And at the very prestigious ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration), they learned all about the EPSO competitions for candidates to jobs in the institutions.
The group also visited the ARTE TV headquarters where they got to see the studios and meet some of the journalists.
As always, the week was also a cultural experience. Our students who came from Spain, Ireland, Italy, Germany and the UK had some free time to discover the beautiful city of Strasbourg, see the astronomical clock and wonder around the medieval streets of the “Petite France”.
The students will be receiving a certificate signed by Mr Jacques Delors himself and will join the very enthusiastic and dynamic group of the Training Academy Alumni who are organizing their first meeting in Brussels from 18-20 October.
The EMI organizes tailor-made trainings for groups upon request. If you would like more information, please contact us at
