Mr Henrik Kroner, Secretary General of the EMI, met with the Preparatory Committee of the European Movement in Azerbaijan on 14-18 February. He met with the president of the organisation, Mr. Habib Guliev, and with local delegations of the Preparatory Committee EM in Azerbaijan. During his visit, he met with the State delegations, leaders of political parties, non-governmental organizations and with the diplomatic corpuses of EU countries and international organizations, such as Milli Maglis, Abel Maherremov and Pr. Samad Seidov.
Mr Kroner also participated in the round table about “Civil Society and European values” of Azerbaijan Democratic Reforms Party, and was the guest of Baku office of “Belgium Azerbaijan House”.

The visit of the Secretary General was reflected in nearly 30 local newspapers, 50 information and articles, daily electron bulletins of agencies. Among these newspapers there are organs of state and opposition, and also independent press. The most selling daily newspapers “Daily Azerbaijan”, “Zerkalo”(Mirror), “Azadlig”(Freedom), “Yeni Azerbaijan”(New Azerbaijan), “525-ci gezet”, “alma”, “Sherg”(East), “Edalet”(Just), “Yeni Musavat” wrote daily information about H.Kroner’s visits. The ceremonies where Kroner took part were shown on 4 channelles (ANS, ITV, Leader TV, ATV) and sounded on 2 radios (Antenn, ANS CHM).
