Economy and finance ministers will exchange views on the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). They will discuss the Commission proposals for Council implementing decisions approving the Commission’s assessments of the recovery and resilience plans for Czechia and Ireland, with a view to their adoption by written procedure.

Friday 10 September

Eurogroup
The Eurogroup will convene to discuss the economic situation in the euro area and the management of the uneven impact of Covid-19.

The European Semester Group of the ECO section will organise this public online hearing to discuss semester related developments. The event will collect views of various organisations, national Economic and Social Councils, EU bodies and think tanks on the topic.

Friday 10 September

European Statute for Associations and NGOs
This remote public hearing will gather the institutional and civil society views on the proposal to establish a Statute for a European association and possibly collect ideas to make it stronger.

Online Stakeholder Consultation on the Gender Perspective in the European Green Deal and Cohesion policy
This consultation is organised to draft its own-initiative opinions on the gender-related aspects of EU policies.

ENVE commission meeting
This hybrid meeting will consist of Green Deal Debates, on the CoFoE, as well as EU Action Plan and the implementation of the EU Pollinators Initiative.

Slovenian Presidency

Agriculture and Fisheries Council
The Informal Meeting of Agriculture Ministers is designed to give representatives of EU member states an insight into the cultural landscape of Slovenia and the coexistence of urban and rural environments.

Friday 10 September – Saturday 11 September

Informal meeting of Economic and Financial Affairs ministers
On the first day of the meeting, 10 September, two working sessions will be held. The first session will be dedicated to the regulation of the financial sector and the balance between financial stability and sustainable financing of the economy. The second working session will focus on the options for channeling IMF special drawing rights to vulnerable countries. Central bank governors will also join the ministers on the first day of the meeting. The second day of the meeting, 11 September, will also feature two working sessions. At the first working session, the ministers will discuss simulations of fiscal scenarios to ensure a resilient recovery and sufficient space for future investment. The second working session will be devoted to a discussion on the future of taxation.

FRA, together with the Public Defender of Rights and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic will co-host a seminar on developing human rights indicators for monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities (CRPD).

Addressing Biodiversity Risks in Infrastructure Investments
This session will explore the barriers to identifying, measuring, and managing biodiversity-related financial risks in the infrastructure sector and debate what needs to happen to level the playing field for investors who are serious about sustainable infrastructure. EIB Lead Environment & Biodiversity Specialist Eva Mayerhofer will also take part.
