European Maritime and Fisheries Fund Information Day
A total budget of €22.5 million is available under the 2019 ‘Blue economy window’ call of the EMFF. The 2019 blue economy call will be presented in a series of presentations organised by the EASME and DG MARE. The information day is also an opportunity for participants to take advantage of a matchmaking session, meet potential partners and stakeholders or discuss their projects directly with our project advisors.
Commissioner Mimica to meet with Skinnari and Prehn
Neven Mimica will meet with Ville Skinnari, Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland. In addition, he will also meet with Rasmus Prehn, Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark, in order to sign on Denmark’s contribution to the European Fund for Sustainable Development.

Platform for Coal Regions in Transition
The platform is a key part of the coal and carbon-intensive regions in transition initiative, included as a non-legislative element of the ‘Clean energy for all Europeans’ package. The 2019 edition will feature sessions and discussions at the highest level, and a number of study visits in the regions of Saxony and Brandenburg, Germany.

The annual conference provides a platform to present and discuss EU countries’ experiences and general observations regarding the integrated administration and control system (IACS), including developments in shared management of EU farmers’ dossiers.

5th Meeting of CARIFORUM-EU Consultative Committee
The aim of this meeting is to continue the dialogue among the Parties and to exchange views on the state of play of Post-Cotonou. Discussions on the implementation and impact of the EU-Cariforum EP will also be organised as well as an update will be given on the establishment of a CARIFORUM-EU Centre at the European University Institute in Florence.

The objective of the seminar is to explore how EU regions and cities can best deliver on the European strategic agenda 2020-2025, by leveraging entrepreneurship and SMEs, mobilising resources for R&D and innovation, investing in education and skills, and promoting internal and external collaboration and knowledge transfer.

The ESPON 2020 Cooperation Programme is set to promote a European territorial dimension in decision-making by producing and providing territorial evidence for various target groups at the regional, national and EU levels. Stop the Backlash – Stop Domestic Violence!
This conference is set to assess the current situation of domestic and intimate partner violence, examine the implementation of the Istanbul Convention in EU member states, and consider means to prevent and stop domestic and intimate partner violence.

Launching a New Strategic Agenda for European Forest-based Sector
The conference will be the launch event for the revised FTP strategic research and innovation agenda 2030, which outlines a roadmap to a sustainable bioeconomy. In addition to expert presentations and debates, the conference will showcase groundbreaking innovations and research in the field.

Working together to Eliminate Occupational Cancer
The conference is part of the Roadmap on Carcinogens initiative and will address the prevention of work-related cancers. “Working Together to Eliminate Occupational Cancer” aims to increase awareness of carcinogenic substances and to collect and disseminate good practices on reducing occupational exposure to carcinogens.

These workshops of about 20 participants take place twice per year and allow for a deep focus on current European and global key economic developments, while aiming for an interactive and insightful debate in the small and familiar set-up of a roundtable format. The EIB will host an interactive seminar to present the private and public sector investment opportunities offered by the Agri-Food Project Launch Event and its extensive offer to companies, financial institutions and public sector entities active in selected agri-food value chains of cereals, oilseeds and aquaculture/fisheries in Ukraine.
