AEGEE – European Youth Choice
What are the beliefs that bring young people of today together in actions for better future of European societies? Which are the topics that are shaping the Europe and the world of today, and home much relevance they have for the leaders of tomorrow? How to define opportunities, concerns, wishes and prospects of those born in the nineties? And how to motivate them to get involved in democratic processes – starting from such a simple step as making an informed choice at next European Parliament elections in June 2009? These are the questions that will find their answers, fresh, brave and invocative ones, at the Youth Agenda 2009 conference.
Conference is bringing youth activists from twenty countries together with experts and elected political officials in a unique platform for dialogue, analysis of best practices and drafting of new recommendations, which will all result in the Youth Agenda 2009 – thematic manifesto for the European Parliament Elections 2009 by young Europeans. It will be then proliferated throughout Europe in next 8 mounts – as this very conference is a launch of the Y Vote 2009 Campaign.
