The European Movement in Albania (EMA) has the pleasure to share with you the first series of Policy Papers: "Albania’s application for membership in the EU, Time for tangible results", prepared by the policy research team, with the support of the Think Tank Fund, Open Society Institute.

The latest developments with respect to the process of European integration of Albania and of other countries of the Western Balkans were the incentives for developing this paper. The application of Albania for membership in the EU has been considered against the backdrop of practices of other countries so far and the situation inside the EU under the Presidency of the Czech Republic. Also, the reforms that are required to take this step have been analyzed in the view of the most important documents of the EU.
