As its known there had been conducting talks between Turkey and Armenia with mediator of Switzerland in this country. Finally there were signed protocols between Turkey and Armenia in Zurich on 10 October 2009. According to these protocols there were considered to take mutual successive steps in the direction of building of bilateral ties between two neighboring countries.
According to protocols signed there have been reflected creation of the commission on events happened in 1915, respecting of both party’s territorial integrity and articles of recognizing of the existing border – lines. At the same time it is considered to establish bilateral diplomatic ties.
Despite these protocols were signed by ministers of Turkey and Armenia the signing ceremony were attended by Secretary of State of the USA, ministers of Foreign Affairs of France and Russia and High commissioner on Foreign Policy issues of the European Union Mr. H. Solana. Attendance of the leading countries of the modern world and the high representative of the EU in the signing ceremony once again prove this ceremony to be great important.  
The European Movement in Azerbaijan gives its support toward protocols signed between Turkey and Armenia and assess it as a fundamental principles of building of the mutually relationships. We believe that the people must not live with history but with future. In these regard the protocols signed carry the historical importance. The protocols signed between Turkey and Armenia put play great role in shaping of the mutually confidence and reliability in region. The new political situation to be  established, as the same time creates  hope of shaping of the common economic and political space in region and expand opportunities of regional countries in the way leading to EU.  
European Movement in Azerbaijan look forward this approach will be great impact in the resolution of the Nakorno Karabakh conflict by peaceful manner soon.
