Europe Citizens’ Consultation
The EMI will play an active role in the EC Plan D-Follow up program “Debate Europe” as it has been chosen by the King Baudouin Foundation to be its privilege partner to address European stake-holders for the upcoming pan-European project “ECC – Europe Citizens’ Consultation”.
This very promising project (due to start in January 2009) aims at involving no less than 50.000 European citizens from all over Europe to gather their recommendations for the EU leaders.
The EMI will mostly be participating in the setting up and management of a European-wide discussion platform (similar to the “60 ideas for Europe” Blog) as well as in the co-organization of regional and European conferences intending to facilitate the dialogue between the EU policy makers and the citizens.
