Europe Day 2010: “United in Diversity”
Next month, at the occasion of the now traditional “9th of May – Europe Day” event, members of the European Movement International in 23 countries will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.
Many original and innovating activities will be organised throughout Europe for this very special day, and you will be able to follow them daily on a dedicated webpage on our website! This page, which you are welcome to contribute to, will be the opportunity to share the interesting events and initiatives that will be implemented on Europe Day.
In a wish to bring more “European-ness” and unity to this festive day, we have decided to adopt the EU motto as a common slogan: “United in Diversity”.
Furthermore, this year also saw the creation of a common logo to be used by all the participants in the project. Available in all the European languages, this new visual identity should give Europe Day a stronger visibility and represent a rallying symbol for all the EMI members celebrating Europe together.
We encourage all our members to add it to their website and can provide you with the language version of your choice.
