The European Movement in Albania (EMA) has the pleasure to invite you to a public lecture series on European Integration. The lecture series will take place in the framework of the EMA project called "Support to the network of EU Info Points in University towns in Albania" approved by the EC Delegation to Albania (ECD).

The public lecture will focus on "Rule of law and European Integration of Albania", which will be held on Thursday, 12 February 2009 at 11.00 hrs, Luigj Gurakuqi University, Shkodër.

Our guest speaker is H.E. Fraser Wilson, Ambassador of United Kingom to Albania. Mr. Wilson has a long career in the British diplomatic service. He has previously served overseas in a number of British Missions, including as Deputy Consul General in Sao Paulo, Ambassador to Turkmenistan and, most recently, as High Commissioner to Seychelles.  Mr Wilson has also held a number of positions in London, including in Western European Department, Eastern Department, the Diplomatic Service Overseas Inspectorate and Overseas Territories Department. Since 27 November 2006, Mr. Wilson serves as British Ambassador to Albania.

The activity will be opened with introductory remarks by Mr. Thomas von Handel, Head of the Political, Economic and Information Section at the European Commission Delegation to Albania, Mr. Artan Haxhi, Rector of Luigj Gurakuqi University and Mrs. Zamaida Kastrati, Lecturer on European Integration in this university.
