Jacob Moroza-Rasmussen is the new Secretary General of the European Liberal Democrats.

Jacob has been active at all levels of youth politics as well as national and international liberal parties since 1991, when he joined the Danish liberal youth. Amongst other positions, he has been both Secretary General and President of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY).

His very varied professional background, with both a history in politics with leading IFLRY, as well as many years of management in bigger private companies around Europe, will be of great added value to the ELDR Party.

His ambition is to make the European Liberal Democrats even more relevant for its members in terms of services provided and to be the main source of information and assistance for all liberals in Europe, who are working with or are interested in international issues.

The new Secretary General – in close cooperation with the ELDR President and the Bureau – will oversee ELDR political activities, supervise the organisation of the Party’s events and manage the staff, the finances and the premises of the Party.

Jacob is a Danish citizen by birth, but an international person by life. For the last 5 years he has been living in Lithuania, together with his Lithuanian wife, Neringa, and their little daughter, Ellen.
