Telegram on the Federal Elections 2017: European politics will take up more and more space inside domestic politics. The European Movement Germany wanted to find out how well equipped Germany’s parties are – and especially, how well equipped the country’s newly elected government will be for more Europe in German politics. European Movement Germany established a synopsis that compared the agendas of the parties up for election with their own political demands 2017/2018. Furthermore, a questionnaire was sent to 1,000 candidates running for parliament to check on their positions.

In the past weeks, The European Movement Germany has consistently been working to establish an overview of the parties’ agendas and their European alignment, and asked member organisations for comment.
