EM Germany welcomes Eike Paulun the New Policy Advisor to the Secretary General
Eike Paulun supports EM Germany’s team from March 1st onwards as the new Policy Advisor to the Secretary General. He succeeds Mareen Hirschnitz, who took over the position as project manager of the European Pupils’ Competition at the beginning of this year. The position was held temporarily by Hendrik Hillebrecht.
Eike joined EM Germany from Hannover, where he managed the office of the MEP David McAllister in his position as the state chairman of the CDU in Lower Saxony. He further gained political experiences as head of the constituency office of MEP Burkhard Balz for many years and as senior consultant in the Regulatory & Public Affairs team at PricewaterhouseCoopers Germany.
At EM Germany, the political scientist and social education worker will particularly contribute towards the implementation and updating of the political agenda and the work plan, as well as the committee work of the biggest Network for European Politics in Germany. He will mainly support Secretary General Bernd Hüttemann, who expressed his delight about the new team member: “I am convinced that Eike’s political experience will bring the Public Affairs work of EM Germany forward in these crucial election times.”
