On Friday 2 October around 30 members of the European Movement International gathered together to attend the annual Heads of Office meeting. The event is an annual gathering of members that is focused on the sharing of ideas and exchange of best practices.

Led for the first time by European Movement Secretary General, Petros Fassoulas, participants heard about upcoming plans and projects for the Movement and discussed the most pressing challenges facing Europe such, as the refugee crisis and migration.

In addition, participants enjoyed an external briefing on the topic “The rise of populist and Eurosceptic movements across Europe” with inputs from Ms Sophie Heine, Senior Research Fellow at EGMONT and Mr. Fabian Zuleeg, Head of Programme ‘Europe’s Political Economy’ at the European Policy Center.

The event was followed by a networking lunch.
