European Movement International Honorary Council expands
The European Movement International is proud to announce that, following a decision taken by its Board in March 2015, the European Movement is able to welcome the following new personalities to its Honorary Council:

- Pat Cox
- Andrew Duff
- Danuta Hübner
- Aleksander Kwaśniewski
- Viviane Reding
- Karel Schwarzenberg
As an international organisation open to all political, economic, social and cultural trends in civil society, the European Movement aims to contribute to the establishment of a united Europe founded on the respect for basic human rights, principles of peace and democracy, liberty and solidarity, as well as the active participation of citizens.
With this ethos in mind, the European Movement International’s Honorary Council is comprised of individuals who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to furthering European identity and integration, and who are experts in their field.

In related news, EU leaders meeting last week also bestowed the title “Honorary Citizen of Europe” on EMI Honorary Council member, Jacques Delors.
